A Boutique Hilton Is Coming to Burleson — and the Design Family Behind It
Burleson is getting a boutique hotel. Not a highway stop. A boutique hotel.
It’s called The Bailey House, and it’s being built by a name a lot of Burleson already knows: Windmiller.
The hotel
In October 2025, Burleson’s city council approved a development agreement with Windmiller Properties for an 80-room upscale hotel. If you followed the original announcement, you knew it as “The Standard.” The name has since changed — it’s now The Bailey House. Same project, same developer, new name.
The details:
- About $18 million in investment
- 80 upscale rooms, five to six stories, plus a restaurant
- Hilton Tapestry Collection — Hilton’s line of independently styled hotels, each designed to reflect its town instead of looking like every other Hilton
- Location: The Standard at Chisenhall on Hidden Creek Parkway, next to Chisenhall Fields and near Bailey Lake Park
- Target opening: late 2027
This month, the council approved updated zoning for the site and capped the hotel at six stories.
It anchors The Standard at Chisenhall, Windmiller’s mixed-use development with specialty shops, local dining, Class A office space, green space and trails. The city projects the hotel will add more than $7 million to the tax base over its first two decades.
The builder
Tim Windmiller runs Windmiller Properties and Windmiller Custom Homes, headquartered right there on Hidden Creek Parkway. The company says it’s been building luxury homes and commercial projects for over 30 years.
They’re also working on Pecan Grove, a new Burleson neighborhood listed as coming soon.
The designer
Here’s the part I love. Tim’s wife, Amira Windmiller, is an interior designer — and she didn’t plan on being one.
She grew up in Jordan and spent summers in the UK. Both of her parents were painters, and she assumed the artistic gene skipped her. Then she started designing interiors for her husband’s homes and realized she could see a whole house, start to finish, before the first wall went up.
Her approach starts before the floor plan does. She learns how a family actually LIVES, then works with the architect so the outside and inside feel like one story. Her work carries a global influence — color, pattern and texture pulled from her travels. She designed the interiors of the 2022 Fort Worth Dream Home, a 5,456-square-foot Cape Dutch–style home.
And Burleson is about to get more of her. Windmiller is also building a design center in Burleson, and Amira will run it. That’s a big deal for anyone building or remodeling locally — design help that used to mean a drive into Fort Worth will be right here.
The takeaway for anyone building or buying: design starts with your life, not a Pinterest board.
Why this matters for Burleson homeowners
A Hilton Tapestry flag is a signal. Brands like this pick their towns carefully.
Practically, it means somewhere nice for visiting family. A real option for weddings, business travel and tournament weekends at Chisenhall. And one more reason buyers at the higher end of the market look at Burleson instead of driving past it.
Add it to the list: Film Friendly. Tourism Friendly. Two billion-dollar communities. Now a boutique hotel. Burleson is building like a destination.
