Burleson Isn’t a Sleepy Small Town Anymore — It’s a Lifestyle Destination
For a long time, Burleson was the exit on the way to Cleburne. A nice, quiet place to sleep before driving to Fort Worth for anything fun.
That Burleson is gone.
You can now spend an entire weekend here — wine, golf, a great dinner, a little self-care — and never get on the highway. Here's what that looks like.
Sip: Lost Oak Winery
Lost Oak Winery has been making wine on its estate vineyard just outside Burleson since 2006. Tasting room, live music, and a gorgeous setting for weddings and events. It's the kind of place visiting friends don't expect to find this close to Fort Worth.
Tee off: two public golf courses
- Hidden Creek Golf Course — 18 holes, par 72, more than 7,000 yards, right off Hidden Creek Parkway
- Southern Oaks Golf Club — par 71, with tees from about 5,350 to 7,100 yards
Both are open to the public, and you can book tee times online.
Play: pickleball
Pickleball has taken over, and Burleson kept up.
- The BRiCk, the city's recreation center, has indoor courts
- Southern Oaks has outdoor courts
- City parks, including Warren and Meadowcrest, have courts too
- The Stack, a new indoor pickleball club on Hidden Vista, was built in a brand-new 21,000-square-foot building
Dine: date night without the drive
- American Revelry at The Standard at Chisenhall — chef-driven, and one of the most-reviewed restaurants in town
- Station 330 in Old Town — steaks, craft cocktails and live music
- Old Texas Brewing Co. in Old Town — rooftop bar, live music on weekends and a brunch worth the wait
Unwind: self-care, close to home
Med spas have followed the growth. Med Spa at Seena One on East Renfro offers advanced skin treatments, and LUX Machine salon has opened at The Standard at Chisenhall. Treat yourself without a trip into the city.
Stay: a boutique Hilton is coming
The Bailey House, an 80-room Hilton Tapestry Collection hotel, is coming to The Standard at Chisenhall, with a target opening in late 2027. When your guests can stay at a boutique hotel instead of a highway motel, that says something about a town.
Why this matters for your home
Lifestyle follows money, and money follows lifestyle. The winery, the hotel, the restaurants and the two billion-dollar communities on the west side all point the same direction: people want to be here. Cities that become destinations tend to hold their value.
And you still get the land, the space and the small-town feel that made Burleson worth it in the first place.
Burleson grew up. It just didn't get stuck up about it.
