Christmas in Burleson: a local's 2026 holiday guide

November 3, 2026 · Local guide ยท Burleson, Texas

I live in Burleson, and the first thing to know about Christmas here this year is that most of it lands on two Saturdays: December 5 and December 12. Every date below comes from the City of Burleson's own event pages, checked November 3, 2026. If the city has not posted something for this year, I say so instead of guessing.

The short calendar

Everything on that list is free except Santa's Breakfast.

December 5: the big day

Three events, one Saturday. You can do all of them if you pace yourself, and the city's own library page assumes you might, since it pitches Christmas at the Library as the stop after Santa's Breakfast.

Santa's Breakfast

This one is at Russell Farm Art Center, 405 W. CR 714, from 7 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $5 for ages 3 to 12 and $7 for 13 and up, and the city says children under 2 are free. If your child is 2, ask, because the page does not say. Visits run in 30-minute slots. The first hour, 7 to 8 a.m., is a Sensory Hour with low stimulation for anyone with sensory sensitivities. You can buy tickets online through the city's store or in person at the BRiCk, and the city's advice is to get them early. Take that seriously.

Christmas at the Library

Burleson Public Library, 248 SW Johnson Ave., 9 a.m. to noon. It is free, with ornament and decoration crafts, singing, a scavenger hunt, and gift and craft stations. Questions go to the library at 817-426-9210.

BTX-MAS: Christmas in Burleson

This is the main event, and it is free. The Burleson Rotary Club's lighted parade starts at 6 p.m. at Burleson Collegiate High School and ends at Mayor Vera Calvin Plaza, 141 W. Renfro St., in Old Town. Entertainment follows on the plaza stage. At 8 p.m. the city lights the tree, 34 feet tall with more than 20,000 lights, and the drone show runs nine to ten minutes. Santa will be there for photos, with an interactive cabin at the base of the tree.

Now the part that will actually affect your night. There is no on-street parking in the areas the city marks in red along the route, so floats have room to move. The city posts a parade map and a drone show viewing map on the BTX-MAS page. When I checked, those maps and the flyer were still labeled 2025 even though the event date reads December 5, 2026, so look for updated versions before you pick a parking spot. Questions go to the BRiCk at 817-426-9104.

If you want dinner before the parade, I have the list in Old Town Burleson: where to eat and drink. Plan ahead, because a lot of people are going to have the same idea.

December 8: a quiet weeknight option

The Texas Tradition Chorus gives a free community concert at the Senior Activity Center, 216 SW Johnson Ave. Snacks run from 6 to 7 p.m. and the concert is 7 to 7:45. It is open to all ages. The city lists it with its holiday events, though the page itself does not call it a Christmas concert, so do not go in expecting a full carol program. The number there is 817-295-6611.

December 12: handmade gifts and a donkey in antlers

Christmas Craft Fair

Senior Activity Center, 216 SW Johnson Ave., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and local makers sell handmade goods like sewn items, art and jewelry. Bring cash. The city warns that some vendors do not take cards.

Christmas on the Farm

Russell Farm Art Center, 405 W. CR 714, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is free, with holiday crafts and family activities, plus a photo with a donkey in antlers. Bring your own camera. The city says this event also kicks off the center's 150th anniversary celebration in 2027.

The two events overlap, and they are in different parts of town, so give yourself drive time if you want both.

What is not posted yet

Two events you may be looking for do not have a confirmed 2026 date from the city as of this writing.

The city's online calendar was only showing November when I checked, so keep an eye on it. Dates can change, and weather is a real thing in December. Check the event page the day of, especially for anything outdoors.

One name to get right

The city's holiday event is BTX-MAS, and I could not find anything from the city called "Christmas on the Square." If you are searching, use BTX-MAS, and remember that Santa's Breakfast and Christmas on the Farm are out at Russell Farm on CR 714, not in Old Town. That is the mistake that makes you late. For the rest of the year in Old Town, I keep a list in shopping and events in Old Town Burleson.

Thinking about moving here?

The honest way to learn a town is to stand in it on a night like December 5, with the traffic, the parking and all of it. If you are looking at Burleson, come to one of these before you decide. Then read Living in Burleson, Texas: the honest version for the parts that do not come with a tree lighting.
