What it does well

Strong here

  • Quiet, small-town pace●●○
About 2,600 people, a mayor and five council members, inside the Arlington map.
  • Vibrant, big-city energy●●○
AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field and Texas Live! are all within about ten miles.
  • Parks and trails●●○
Bicentennial Park packs trails, a splash pad, pickleball, gardens and pavilions into one park.
  • Established neighborhoods●●○
Land for a school was donated in 1883, and the town incorporated for good in 1952.

The honest part

What to know first

  • The 2026 combined rate runs about 2.24 per $100 before any water district charge.
  • The town covers one square mile, surrounded by Arlington and Dalworthington Gardens.
  • Handitran is open only to riders who meet its eligibility rules.

Not its strength: walkable, transit options, restaurants, shopping, lake days, golf, land and acreage, new construction, luxury homes.

Not rated yet: a real downtown, nightlife, horses welcome. That means I haven't confirmed it either way, not that it isn't here.
