What it's like

The short version

The Colony is a Denton County city of about 47,800 with Lewisville Lake on its western border and about 23 miles of shoreline inside the city limits. Fox and Jacobs began building here in 1973, and the city incorporated in 1977. Grandscape, a mixed-use district of more than 400 acres along State Highway 121, brings Nebraska Furniture Mart, Scheels, Galaxy Theatres and an outdoor concert stage.

What's for sale

Homes sold at a three-month median near $443,000 through August 2026, with 164 sales in August. Fox and Jacobs planned the original city around single-family homes, and The Tribute and Austin Ranch sit within the city.
