Chisholm Summit in Burleson, TX: The Complete Guide
Chisholm Summit is the further-along of Burleson's two new mega-communities — and homes are already on the way. If you're considering a new build on the east side of Chisholm Trail Parkway, here's what you need to know.
The basics
- Developer: RA Development
- Builder (so far): David Weekley Homes — homes "coming soon"
- Size: roughly 800–915 acres, about 3,066 homes at build-out
- Schools: Joshua ISD — North Joshua Elementary, Loflin Middle, Joshua High
Amenities and lifestyle
Chisholm Summit is built around the outdoors. Plans include 100+ acres of parkland and 10+ miles of trails, an equestrian center and horseback riding trails, fishing ponds, and an amenity center with an amphitheater and splash pad. It's a rare mix — master-planned convenience with an almost rural, wide-open feel.
More than just homes
It's also planned as a place to work and gather. The master plan includes about 28 acres of commercial space, the Hooper Business Park, a 106-acre professional and medical office district, and a downtown node called Chisholm Square. That kind of on-site employment and retail is what separates a true master-planned community from a standard subdivision.
Homes and pricing
David Weekley is planning open-concept floor plans on 50-foot homesites, with larger lot options across the community. Community pricing has been reported starting in the $290s and ranging toward $1 million for estate product — but new-construction pricing changes with each phase, so treat any number as a moving target.
What I'd tell a buyer
Because homes here are still early, this is exactly the window where incentives tend to be strongest and the best lots are still available. Two things I always tell my Chisholm Summit buyers: register with your own agent on your first visit (not the builder's front desk — it protects your representation and usually costs you nothing), and remember that the base price isn't the price once lot premiums and upgrades are added.
